Guess what?  Daily Fashion Jobs is  launching a magazine full of inspiration for aspiring and up and coming fashion fiends, created by the newest talents in fashion.  The magazine will be published online with a limited  run print edition, six times per year.  We want to hear your stories, see your style, and be inspired by your creations.  Our first issue will launch in the winter of 2011.  Keep reading to see how you can get involved:

VISUAL – editorial

If you are a photographer, art director or wardrobe stylist, we want to fill over half of our pages with fashion and beauty editorials created by you.  Show up coming trends, and don’t be afraid to push the envelope.

Requirements – We will only accept editorials with a minimum of 6 different outfits (or settings).   Keep the season you are submitting for in mind; we might save your editorial for a future issue if we feel it fits better there.  Please try to use agency repped models, or models who fit agency requirements.  We will need model releases before anything is published.

How to submit – Email us with 6-12 of your best shots, low to medium resolution only, along with full crew credits (photographer, stylist, mua, hair and any assistants; include email, agencies and websites if available).   If the editorial has been published elsewhere please let us know.    Please zip all images and send via email or a file sharing service such as dropbox.com or yousendit.com, or send as a PDF.  No links please.

VISUAL – art, food & interior

We are also looking to feature art, fashion illustrations, interior design + architecture, food, street style, and innovative craft projects.

TEXTUAL

For fashion journalists, and aspiring fashion journalists, we are looking for the following types of articles:

  • Interviews with fashion industry professionals
  • Articles about your specific experiences in the industry or as a fashion student.  See our past articles for an example of the types of subjects we’re looking for.
  • Fun places, restaurants and things to do in fashion capitals around the US (must include high res photos).

Please double proofread all articles before submitting, for both grammar and spelling. Use spell check!  All articles must be 450 words minimum.  We prefer that you pitch your ideas to us first, along with a few samples of your work.

Our first issue will launch January 1st, 2011, and the deadline for submissions is December 10th, 2011 (but the sooner the better ;) .  Send all submissions to the editor at dailyfashionjobs AT gmail DOT com.

Any submissions will be fully credited and linked in each issue, and all participants will receive digital tears.
