Stylista Is Coming to the CW

May 17, 2008 in Fashion Internships, Fashion Magazine by DFJ Admin

A couple of months ago I posted the casting call for a new Tyra Banks created reality show where contestants compete for a job at a Elle Magazine.  Well the show is hitting the airwaves come this Fall, but there’s already a bevy of clips out there to give us a taste of what we’re in for.  And I’ve got to say the taste so far is a bit sour.  The whole thing looks like a scripted, over the top, cliched rip off of the Devil Wears Prada.  Not that I think reality tv is “Real”, but even Top Model comes across more authentic than this!

Anyways, I’m sure the show will give us a little bit of an insight of what it’s like to be an intern at a top level fashion magazine.  But so far I think The Hills will end up being the best reputation.  Judge it for yourself by checking out the youtube clips below:

Stylista Clip #2

Stylista Clip #3

Two more things…the editor walks like an elephant in heels and that brunette is dressed  a bit sexy for the workplace.

Internship At Start Up Jewelry Auction Site

May 3, 2008 in Fashion Internships by DFJ Admin

I’m not sure exactly where this is located; let’s assume it’s in NY.

Looking for summer interns to work for a new and upcoming unique auction site called www.idonowidont.com (I Do-Now I Don’t)

Launched as an e-commerce site in January 2007, IDoNowIDont.com (“IDNID”), was created to match people looking to sell engagement rings they no longer need or want with buyers who are in the market for a great deal, giving them the opportunity to own a better quality ring than they originally could afford.

IDNID sets itself apart from eBay and all other auction sites with its quality of service, providing authenticity for every diamond sold. This process is secured through our GIA graduated jeweler who verifies every diamond sold, ensuring its value and quality.

We need someone who is up and up on the hottest trends and who is fashionable.
This is a fun and exciting opportunity for anyone who loves writing and who is looking to write/blog/share stories that we will post on our site.
If you are interested send resume to:
