…that In Style magazine is looking for a full-time PAID fall 2007 art department intern (so it’s like a job) to start as soon as possible and work through the end of December. The ideal candidate should be proficient in QuarkXPress and PhotoShop; InDesign and Illustrator are a plus. Must be extremely organized, a fast worker, possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize, and have the desire to enter a career in magazine design. The intern will assist the art department with day to day art and production responsibilities including all scanning, organizing of film for processing, distributing approved layouts, etc. Must be in the NYC area and be available for an in-person interview. The fashion department at MARIE CLAIRE seeks detailed-oriented, highly-motivated, EXTREMELY organized FALL interns that can start AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Candidates must be able to commit THREE to FIVE full days a week. Interns will based in the fashion closet but will be able to work with the entire fashion and accessories team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: checking in and returning samples, creating story boards, organizing fashion closet, setting up for run- thrus, and will also have the chance to assist at photo shoots. Although it may get intense and rigorous at times, the opportunity and experience will be amazing. Please send a resume and a cover letter stating your availability and potential start date to Lisa Tam at MarieClaireIntern@gmail.com. (ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE)

Duties include: organizing/tracking all art, returning portfolios, art and tearsheets to photographers, generating print orders, assisting in shoot production and additional important administrative duties. Our ideal candidate must have a strong interest in magazine and photography, excellent administrative and organizational skills, and work efficiently and autonomously in a very fast paced environment. My favorite store in the world, Express, is teaming up with Ford Models for the Wildest Jeans Stylist search. Just to sum things up, to enter, you upload a picture of yourself in an outfit you styled that includes a piece of denim clothing. The winner will fly to the New York for two days, style a high end shoot, receive fashion career advice at the Parsons New School of Design with a $1000 shopping spree at Express to top things off. Sounds good, no? Check it out for yourselves…

Seventeen magazine is looking for FALL EDITORIAL interns. Duties will include researching for articles, transcribing celeb interviews, brainstorming with editors for story ideas, and some small writing assignments. Duties will not include fetching lattes! We are looking for bright, independent, self-motivated candidates who can capture the Seventeen voice and are eager to participate in our newly revamped internship program (including networking opportunities, and some field trips!).
