I’ve been looking for a pair of denim shorts for a while now; I mean, you wouldn’t think it would be so hard to find but every pair I come across is either too light of a wash, too short, too long or too baggy, like this awful pleated pair I tried on at Express the other day. But these sailor shorts from Arden B. look just perfect. Aren’t they adorable? The two gold buttons and the sash around the hips makes them stand out without being too flashy.

I almost forgot to post this!  The fabulous Glam Network has paired up with Marie Claire to host a handbag designing contest.  Here are the deets:

Starting today aspiring designers can submit their handbag sketches on Glam.com, where the fashion community will vote for their favorites.

The lucky winner will receive a trip to New York, a one-night stay at a posh New York hotel, and the MOST EXCITING part of all she or he will be a Marie Claire “accessories editor for a day.”   Additionally, the final 8 bags will be auctioned off on E-bay.com with all the proceeds going to charity.

 

Sounds like an awesome opportunity!  And I have to say, as much as I love design I think designing handbags is by far the most challenging.  I have the utmost respect for bag designers.

I’ll be honest and admit I don’t totally understand what this is, but it’s worth posting. If you’re interested in starting your own Fashion Magazine, Posh Glam is there to help with $75,000 of their own money. Sure it sounds too good to be true, but Posh Glam is a reputable company, so I recommend looking into it. They’re looking for a unique view on fashion and personal style.

I don’t usually dedicate an entire post to one job, but I really wanted to let everyone know that the owner of StyleBites is looking for an intern! In case you didn’t know, she’s the fashion editor of a magazine in Prague and is looking for one or two interns for the summer.
