Domino, Harpers Bazaar and W. Care of TFS:
The fashion department at W magazine seeks highly-motivated, responsible, savvy interns for the FALL 2007 semester. This is an UNPAID position in which you must receive college credit. Full-time (4 days a week) and part-time (minimum of 2 full days) needed. You will be based in the fashion closet, working with the closet fashion assistant and editors/stylists on managing the ebb and flow of clothing samples…… Other responsibilities include scanning/computer work, photocopying, filing and other intern-ly duties. This is a very intense internship in which you must always be on toes, and often work long hours (10 AM-8 PM onward). BUT you will be working beside some of the world’s most acclaimed fashion stylists (Alex White, Camilla Nickerson) and directly with major fashion houses/PR firms. Also, many of our interns have found themselves assisting on major fashion shoots. We will be conducting interviews in the coming weeks. Please send cover letters & resumes to jennifer_wiebking@condenast.com. No phone calls, please.
DOMINO MAGAZINE is looking for one or two art department interns for the fall semester. As an intern at Domino, you will have various roles and responsibilities. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: scanning, trimming, in and out of office research, office organization, putting together packages to be mailed or sent via messenger and perhaps a bit of designing if you are skilled in that area. (All VERY important aspects to running a magazine) The most important part is that as an intern at Domino you will be exposed to the creation of a magazine. We are always open to creative minds and new ideas and your input will always be considered. You do not need to have magazine experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like exposure to a new form of media. All that is required is good organizational skills and the energy to get involved. We are located in New York City and will need someone who is available at least 2 or 3 full days a week. This position can ONLY be filled if it is used for college credit. Please e-mail your resume with a short description of why you should be a Domino intern to Kirsten_Hilgendorf@condenast.com.
The editor-in-chief’s office at Harper’s Bazaar is looking for an UNPAID intern. All applicants MUST be able to receive school credit and work a full day at least three times a week (no half days). In addition, applicants have to be able to work and thrive in a very fast-paced environment, show extreme attention to detail and be able to follow through and take ownership on all projects they are tasked with. Familiarity with office computer programs and prior office or magazine experience is a necessity. If you do not meet all of these requirements DO NOT APPLY. Please send resume and availability to bazaar1@hearst.com. Resumes for other positions WILL NOT be responded to.
