Candidates must have general knowledge and passion for the fashion industry, be responsible, hardworking, dependable with a can-do attitude. Interns will be offered an exciting hands on experience with the opportunity to learn different aspects from a new fashion brand.

Details of Internship:
Must be available 3-4 days a week and able to start September 15th, 2009
Responsibilities include:
Daily/ Weekly and monthly reporting for Sales
-Sale interns for Fall 2009 and Spring/Summer 2010- this would consist you reaching out, communicating and contacting buyers to confirm sales or sale the new collection.
-Creating swatch/flats notebooks for the Spring season
-Assisting with all Fashion trade shows, and events. Runway show production, daily errands, mailings, data entry, sample check in and check out, maintaining showroom appearance, research and forecasting of fashion & style trends to develop new products.
-Analyzing sales by store on a daily basis and creating various analyses as needed for various areas. Checking the Sales by store; performing various analyses for buying office.
-Creating story boards, faxing/filing/admin, Policies.-Other duties as assigned.
In addition, the following skills are required:
• High standards of professionalism and integrity must be upheld at all times
• Ambition, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn, desire to grow personally and professionally
• Positive personality and energy, work well with others
• Be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills
• Strong speaking and writing abilities including use of correct grammar and spelling
• Action oriented under limited supervision with the ability to multi-task, intern will be required to manage a project of their own and assist with additional projects
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
All interns (paid and unpaid) and employees (part time and full time) are expected to adhere to company policies of conduct and confidentiality at all times including but not limited to policies regarding dress code, professional conduct, requests for time off, and the handling of proprietary or confidential information.
Internships are unpaid and are booked in 3-month (or per semester) blocks.”September – December”. Hours are negotiable according to work and class schedules.
