Fashion Hippo is a new media company that provides buzzing tips, trends, news, and innovative products to its readers. We are in search of a talented Social Media intern who will help implement Fashion Hippo’s social media strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing social media channels and alert our followers of the new articles in a smart and creative way
  • Increase our follower base on Twitter and Facebook by creating interesting micro-blogging content and running promotions and giveaways
  • Track progress and engagement via analytics tools
  • This job will require daily postings and social media planning, but will not exceed 6-7 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • You are a marketing student in your third or fourth year with prior PR or Social Media internship experience.
  • You know the world of social media inside and out, understand the difference and benefit of using each social media channel, and know how to get people talking about our brand via smart use of social media.
  • You have great writing skills and able to capture the essence of an article in a few words with a smart angle, which, in turn, will capture readers’  interest and create social buzz.
  • You know how to use twitter tools and analytics to track and analyze social media engagment.

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of the space and connections to movers and influencers in the fashion online world
  • Knoweledge of designer brands, “it” products, and celebrities/designers that innovate and catalyst positive change
  • Ability to evolve our existing social media strategy and stay on top of innovative social media tools and trends
