24karas is looking for a retail and social media intern to assist the owner of the label.
The intern will be involved in many sides of the business:

-Assist customers coming to the 24karas store

-Organization of stock, help in the display and merchandising of samples

-Help growing the awareness of 24karas through social media (Facebook, twitter, 24karas blog)

-Assist in PR strategy: send out of press releases to relevant blogs and publications, follow up to initiate buzz around the label and drive sales through the website

-Assist in organization of special offers or seasonal events

-Assist in administrative tasks and errands

We are looking for an individual with strong social skills, excellent presentation, outgoing personality, positive and “can do”attitude, who is comfortable in a small structure and have a great interest for jewelry. A previous experience in PR/Social media or Retail is preferred and strongly recommended to succeed in this position.

You must be available 2 to 3 days a week, sometimes during weekends.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain a general experience in the jewelry business and see an emerging designer build and develop her structure.

Compensation: hourly rate

24karas is a 3 years old jewelry label design specialized in handmade jewelry. 24karas recently opened a boutique/showroom inside the Dekalb Market in Brooklyn
