People’s Revolution is a fast-paced PR firm specializing in fashion and lifestyle with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Paris. We are looking for dedicated, sharp interns to assist with all company functions in our New York office to begin immediately in exchange for an incredible learning experience.

About the position:

This position provides a very unique view into ALL aspects of the fashion industry. Our company works closely with our clients on all levels of branding and public relations, and our interns are deeply involved in all activities. We gladly welcome interns who receive college credit.

Our office runs at an extremely fast pace, as we always have a number of upcoming events or seasonal projects, in addition to ongoing work for a high client volume. Interns will provide support functions in 2 main departments and will work closely with senior members of our teams in the following departments:

– Fashion/Showroom

– Lifestyle

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– management of clothing samples

– going to editorial shoots when necessary

– outreach to editors and stylists

– merchandising of the showroom

– seasonal market mailings

– development and upkeep of press materials

– event production

– research and a variety of office functions

Interested applicants should be prepared to treat this position as a job – we expect a high level of commitment and a strong work ethic.

Requirements:

- Be available to assist 3+ days per week. (Minimum of 3 months)

- Flexible hours – preferably daytime 9:30am – 7:30pm. Occasionally we will request interns to help out evenings for events and special mailings.

- A great attitude –pro-active, upbeat and ambitious hard working and ready to learn.

- Strong computer skills: Excel (most important), Word, Internet, and familiarity with Mac, basic scanner, Photoshop skills preferred.

-Acute attention to detail and follow-through are a must.

- Machine friendly: phone, fax, computer, and copy machine.

- Verbal communication skills are a must.

- Professional interest should be in one of the following industries: public relations, branding, entertainment/hospitality, fashion, art/design; educational background in related fields is preferred, however, all majors and educational levels are welcome and may still apply.

- Previous experience in a related field a plus.
