Chinamine USA and Chinamine Trading Ltd. are divisions of Shenzhen China Silk Corporation, which together serve as a totally vertical garment manufacturer and sales company. Customers of the corporation include the Gap, Liz Claiborne, Phillip Van Heusen, Tahari, Theory, Betsey Johnson, Jones New York, Anne Klein, Zara, Diane Von Furstenberg, J Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, Catherine Malendrino, Nine West, Kate Spade, Ralph Lauren, Geoffrey Beene, and Carolina Herrera, among others.

The Chinasilk factories produce garments in a wide spectrum of categories and fabrics from the very dressy to casual sportswear. They manufacture in Silk, Cotton, Linen, Rayon, Wool, Polyester, Spandex, and Blended fabrications. Over 8,500 people work at Chinasilk’s garment, print, dye, and wash facilities in the cities of Hangzhou and Shenzhen.

The merchandising, sales, and marketing offices of Chinamine are located in Hong Kong and New York City. The New York showroom has an ever changing collection of products with an in depth design resource center. Chinamine is known for working intimately with a client’s product development team who frequents the New York showroom. Employees help in the entire garment development process from initial customer contact to garment concept, development, price negotiation, and bulk production.

Internship Program

At Chinamine USA the goal of the internship program is to provide a better understanding of the fashion world. All interns have the opportunity for an exciting hands-on experience in the industry, from inception of garment idea and fabrication through the production process and all the way to the retail sale. Working at Chinamine will give an all round view of the business of making garments by using practical skills that will ultimately enhance any future business or fashion career choice. Since Chinamine is a global company, our interns will not only learn about the fashion industry, but moreover the global fashion market. We hope to make the internship a fun and exciting experience in the garment industry and the Chinamine family.

We are looking for highly organized and professional interns interested in fashion and marketing positions. Students will be able to gain knowledge in the following fields: Fashion Marketing, Fashion Trend Reporting, and Production Sourcing.
