Marchesa 2011/2012 Production Internship

We are looking for bright, eager, creative-thinking, and self-motivated individuals to help the production department in preparations for the S/S 2012 Fashion Show in September.  We are a small company of about 30+ employees which is a great environment for those looking to get into the fashion industry, or for those who want to gain valuable, hands-on experience.  We are currently looking for immediate hire to help in the development of the fashion show; however, hired interns are welcome and encouraged to work with us for a longer period.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

-Aiding Production Assistant and V.P. of Productions in executing day-to-day tasks

-Sourcing fabric and trims

-Photocopying beadwork

-Sorting units for shipment

-Working with design, sales, and PR departments in meeting deadlines

-etc.

Requirements:

- Individuals who are diligent, self-motivated, eager-to-learn, and dedicated

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Are organized and able to multi-task

- Individuals with previous internship experience preferred.

- Fashion design majors with hand-sewing skills are preferred, but not required.

- knowledge of Microsoft Excel a plus

- smartphones are also a plus

This is an unpaid internship, but college credit is offered.
