Looking for interns so amazing, we’re never going to want to let them go.

Us:
Style Startups will be launching late this fall – it will be a platform for tracking and exploring all types of ‘Fashion 2.0′ business ventures (think flash sale sites like Gilt Groupe and social shopping like Fashism and subscription sites like Shoe Dazzle). We’ll also be educating existing companies and mentoring new entrepreneurs.

You:
Must love fashion and have a deep interest in technology as well (social media savvy, of course, but more, too…  disruptive new online business models, 3D accessory printing, whatever geeks you out).

You’ll do:
Research – combing the web for new and existing fashion websites and entering them into a database. (Yes, that means looking at fashion sites all day!)
Blogging – writing about new and interesting fashion 2.0 things that you discover as you comb the web. (There’s a lot of room for creativity here… do you want to interview fashion start-up founders? develop a grading system for e-commerce sites? Go nuts!)
Social media -  some pr + marketing work using all the usual social media channels.

You must:
_have a deep love for fashion
_be smart about technology
_have clear, articulate, thoughtful writing
_write in a certain voice (smart, authoritative, fun)
_be a self-starter – there is a great deal of autonomy in this job
_be detail oriented, but also…
_be a big picture thinker
_have the ability to do focused data entry
_have your own computer, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet place to get work done
_work well as a team member, and also independently
_be super amazingly nice
_have a vibrant energy
_have good taste
_posses the ability to produce consistent good work
_be a terrifically quick learner

Bonus points if you:
_live in or have easy access to NYC
_have amazing public speaking skills
_have deep knowledge of fashion history and trends
_already have  knowledge of online tools (google docs, co-tweet, administrative back ends of websites, etc)
