Luxury design label Jill Stuart is seeking a full time design assistant to work with the design director on the creation of the JILL STUART DRESS label.
Design candidates should have strong sketching abilities for freehand & computer – flats, etc. Must also be fully comfortable sourcing fabrics and trims. Basic knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, Illustrator & Photoshop as well. Ideal candidates will have a fun and girly design aesthetic and a love and special interest in party dresses.
Design Assistant will be working closely with the Jill Stuart Dress design team and will assist design office & showroom: fabric swatching, trim sourcing, mood boards, inspiration research, hand sewing, pattern-making, sketching, maintain relevant department files, and other duties dependent upon experience and capabilities.
Office is fast paced with a sense of urgency, always fun, friendly and team oriented. Open design and work space throughout office, working side by side with the Jill Stuart RTW design team.
