Manhattan-based Fashion Showroom is seeking a Showroom Wholesales Director to work with our fast-paced, growing ready-to-wear and accessories brands. We are seeking someone to work with our luxury clients to reach their desired goals of wholesale targets each season. The Sales Director will be responsible for overall management of our accounts that we represent in our showroom, which will include domestic and international sales of accessories and ready-to-wear. Expectations include achieving sales and distribution objectives, maintaining high operational standards and goals, building a highly motivated team and developing account executives to the next level.
Candidate will have longstanding relationships with buyers in the U.S. of women’s wear, menswear, and accessories, in both specialty stores as well as department stores.
This position will be responsible for:
Developing the brands sales strategy with the our clients
Setting and reaching sales goals
Driving an increase in revenue during, in-between and after sales season
Managing all retail and VIP contacts and accounts (domestic and international)
Maintaining regular contact and working creatively with retail accounts to maximize sell-through and re-orders
National and international trade shows
Reporting weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually to our CEO on progress and development
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should be have an intimate knowledge of the worldwide luxury fashion business, be driven, sophisticated, strategic, and have established relationships with buyers that will compliment our existing relationships.
2-3 years direct sales experience in high-end luxury fashion
Existing relationships with buyers at specialty stores as well as department stores
Excellent communication skills
Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
Have the ability to make showroom, trade show and road appointments
Have the ability to multi-task
Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word
Excellent phone skills and follow through
Must be able to work independently as well as in a group environment
Some travel may be required
