Cyan Reign couture is looking for a new fashion intern. The internship is based in Brisbane, Australia and you will experience all aspects of the industry from design, sample making, pattern making, etc, through to editorial and look book shoots, styling and runway shows.

What is required?

We have a couple basic requirements but really, the thing we are looking for most is dedication, drive and the desire to learn and live and breath this industry! Everything else really is a bonus as you will learn an aweful lot here.

* Must either be studying fashion or graduated. We don’t mind if you have only just started first year and are very fresh, you just need to have the enthusiasm to learn.
* You need to have the basics of using an industrial sewing machine down. You don’t have to be a master at it yet but we need to know you aren’t going to take a finger off
* Have a good attitude and be willing to listen and learn.
* Be reliable. I can’t emphasize this enough!
* Be flexible. We don’t expect or even want you to drop everything for what is going on with us but the ability to do extra and/or change things up a bit will give you the advantage of more and better experience.
* Be able to come in at least one day per week.
* If you are still studying, we expect you to not neglect your studies. We’re happy to help wherever we can.

What are the benefits of interning?

* The most obvious is industry experience but because we are a small company you will get a really well rounded experience in all aspects of the business and won’t be stuck in a room stitching buttons for weeks on end.
* You will be working on everything from seasonal collections to bridal to made to measure couture and a few other fun things in between
* You will have the benefit of having a mentor and one on on help if you need it
* There will be the possibility of a positon within the company in the future
* You will be given the opportunity to meet people, network and make contacts
* There will also be the opportunity to work on photoshoots for look books, styling for shoots, video clips, etc, runway and other events
* Experience is invaluable in this industry and previous interns and employees have gone on to start their own labels or work at much larger companies.
* The most important of course is that you get to work with awesome people!
