SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERT
Wanted: Modern media whiz for a big new role for AKOO Clothing: Head of Social Media.
We are looking for a social media wiz kid who knows the space and can bring innovative thinking to how we approach marketing. The right candidate must have demonstrated extensive social media experience. This means that the person is actively participating in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc. and is well-connected with the broader social media world. The second key is that the candidate must be able to think strategically and synthesize many inputs in order to provide clear guidance on social media practices. The third key is proven leadership and results in developing organizational capability.
Responsibilities:
· Create a comprehensive strategy to build social media capabilities at AKOO Clothing. Increase sophistication in earned media marketing techniques to understand their impact and increase engagement and loyalty.
· Develop a comprehensive roadmap for social media that includes an understanding of both technical requirements and business requirements, encompassing both akooclothing.com and other websites, extensions to mobile, and both customers and employees.
· Monitor trends in social media channels, tools, and metrics and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase the effectiveness of social media.
· Partner with marketing team, vendors, and agencies to develop media initiatives and execute social campaigns.
· Provide guidance on strategy, process, roles & responsibilities, audience understanding/listening, execution, and measurement.
· Stay tuned to company social media initiatives and publish learning, best practices, and benchmarking. Create and lead an internal social media council.
· Stay abreast of relevant developing technologies in mobile, e-commerce and social media.
· Serve as an effective ambassador in Social Media industry organizations and conferences.
· Produce monthly reports by using analytics to measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts and establish common metrics and benchmarks.
· Make recommendations to senior leadership on how to develop social media capability including talent, skills, tools and platforms, and how to make better marketing mix decisions
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience working in the digital media space (online, mobile, e-commerce, etc…)
2 year experience working in the social media space
Experience establishing and maintaining professional partnerships in the social media space
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts, prices, resolving service issues and reconciling differences
Experience reading and interpreting financial and other data reports to make strategic decisions for the organization
Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
Experience developing social media strategy and capability for an organization
Experience developing an innovative social networking department within the retail industry preferred
