Pattern Making Intern

Chien Chic Inc, an emerging dog’s wear designing boutique is looking for a Pattern Making Intern. This is an extremely hands on role for someone who is a quick-thinker, problem solver, and has the ability to follow through with all tasks. The internship is unpaid – candidate will be working remotely. Intern must be able to work 2-4 days a week for at least 3 months, and will receive college credit for those who require it.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Creating layouts for beadwork and fabric embellishment
· Digital print-work in Photoshop and Illustrator
· Measuring samples to compare to spec
· Developing and updating spec sheets with w/ pattern corrections
· Assisting in garment fittings
· Working with vendors/factories for production
· Technical flats
· Pattern work that includes copying patterns and labeling

Requirements:
· Must have a fashion degree or currently be a fashion student
· Basic pattern knowledge and familiarity with Pattern Making.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, and Word.
· Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
· Must be extremely organized, self-motivated, disciplined, and resourceful
· Thrives under pressure and deadlines
· Positive and enthusiastic personality
