The site is currently in beta and planning a launch on Memorial Day Weekend. We are seeking an Online Director to manage and grow the site for summer 2009.

Compensation: Summer room in beautiful Southampton home (value $10,000), Opportunity to have senior level title in a growing online media business, Fun editor perks.

Job Duration: Start immediately to September 15, 2009
Job Location: Southampton, NYC
Job Scope: Content Development/Management
-Help develop the editorial voice of To27.com
-Develop a network of content contributors (these can be entrepreneurs or people who do marketing, PR, sales for various businesses out East such as PR agencies, restaurants, shops, magazines, radio stations, wineries etc…)
-Content development and management, including aggregating & crating content from content contributors and site users
-Regular blogging and message board seeding
-Facilitation of social interaction between To27.com members
-Implement e-newsletter
-Assist in producing possible video content and interactive features (polls, collages, slideshows, etc.) on To27.com
-Find & manage interns

Marketing & Partnerships
-Promote/Manage To27.com as the premiere Hamptons’ website via (1) social media outlets like Facebook + Twitter (2) co-marketing and content partnerships (3) word of mouth initiatives by site members (4) media sponsorships and barter programs (5) marketing materials and more…
-Draft marketing proposals and press releases and more…

Sponsorship Development & Outreach
-Assist in creating media kit, sponsorship + advertising opportunities
-Responding to RFP’s and sponsorship & partnership requests
-Generate sponsor/advertising leads and more…

Requirements – At least 2 years of media, marketing and,or online experience
- Passion for lifestyle content writing, with an avid interest in the Hamptons culture
- Voracious reader of websites, blogs and magazines
- Familiarity with basic web tools such as HTML and/or CMS platforms (like WordPress etc)
- Marketing and/or sponsorship sales experience is a huge plus
- Excellent social, writing, communication, delegation and organizational skills
