Job Requirements

Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Media-related major
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Must have a great work ethic and be resourceful
Ability to handle working under tight deadlines with excellent accuracy
Strong knowledge of fashion marketplace is helpful

This is an unpaid internship, but one that can and if given the school’s approval will transfer for credit. You must have a laptop. Commitment of 4-5 days per week is required for a 3-month (or more) duration. Strong computer skills are required. We would like someone to start as soon as possible. We will consider local candidates and/or candidates in school only

Job Description

Answering and screening phone calls
Answering and screening emails
Researching new key contacts for all clients
Collating and distributing press kits
Email pitching of all news from clients via phone and email
Scheduling desk side media tours
Brainstorming new pitch ideas for clients
Tracking and scanning all media clips
Beginning to assist in writing press releases and media alerts
Assistance with the creation of media databases and editorial calendars
Assistance with updating the general media database and special interest database
Beginning to build long-term relationships with all media
