Design Jewelry offers a comprehensive and exciting intern experience for dynamic students.
Satya jewelry is an established company that creates beautiful styles with symbolic meaning & a modern aesthetic.
Our designs have been featured in New York Magazine as “best everyday jewelry,” as well as many domestic & international fashion magazines.
We have 4 retail stores in the NYC metro area, & 1 in London.
Our wholesale division sells to 250 stores domestic & international & we create private label collections for prestigious musuems & well known fashion labels.
We consider ourselves a fun vibrant young company that has amazing people working within it. We design, create and distribute from our loft space in Chelsea.
Responsibilities include:
-design: assist with story boards and collection planning
-sample support: color copy, file, label, tagging/send samples, update spreadsheets
-design room upkeep: sort/return components to bins, create new organizational systems
-production support: packaging, QA, simple assembly
-misc: special projects, trips to local suppliers, shows
*the following skills are a plus but not necessary: jewelry making for sample making, technical drawing for design concept sketching, model making for wax molds.
Please be detail oriented, pro active, & have a positive attitude to assist in all areas of design and production.
Interns will have an opportunity to observe the function of and interaction between integral departments of Satya Jewelry.
School credit issued as well as food/travel reimbursements & incentives offered.

Time Commitment: minimum 8 hours per week; minimum 1 month (longer time or hour commitment encouraged)
