Fall/10 INTERNSHIP POSITION
Melissa Rubini’s Studio is seeking motivated, creative, and detail-oriented fashion interns for the Fall/10 semester. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited university at which they are eligible to receive credit for the internship.
In this internship you will participate in trend research (street/online/publications), brand positioning, retail studies, new product development (rtw, shoes, handbags).
You must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
An interest in working in fashion is key as this opportunity allows for a great amount of experience.
Prospective interns must work 2-5 days/week but we have flexible working hours/days to accommodate to your classes.
This is a non paid internship.
Prospective interns must be pro-active, organized and well spoken.
Duties include assisting:
-Creating swatch/flats for new collections
-Trim/fabric sourcing
-Trend forecasting research
-Manufactures sourcing
-Assisting with inspiration, research and detailed flat sketching for accessories and rtw
-Updating/compiling information for the studio
-On set styling assistance
-Visual merchandising and store windows development
