Hey all you Qi Fans!

The Qi design team is looking for interns! Come and be a part of a fast paced, growing fashion company.

As you know we design primarily design for Women, specializing in knitwear, but also have recently branched out into wovens. You would have the opportunity to work with a wide range of price points and materials. We have an office in New York as well as in Shanghai. We VERY rarely have interns run meaningless errands, 95% of the tasks would be in the office working directly with me or the Design Director.

We are looking to grow our design team and the experience could be very beneficial. Compensation will be discussed at the interview.

Some of the responsibilities would include:

Measuring samples when they come in,
Assisting with fittings,
Researching trends, techniques, and fabrics online,
Updating tech packs with fit information in Excel,
Communicating changes with factories overseas via email,
Creating flat sketches on Illustrator,
Creating tech packs in Excel,
Assisting in grading,
Sending out packages to our overseas factories,
Creating and updating charts in Excel,
Designing prints, embroideries, embellishments

Fashion design, technical design, or production background preferred.

Knowledge in Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign helpful

Qi New York, need a Graphic Design intern for the Fall/Winter 2010 semester to assist the marketing/sales department. Intern should have some knowledge of various Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign. Must have a natural eye for the contemporary market. Duties include uploading pictures for Qi’s ecommerce site, updating press books, putting together marketing packages, doing email blasts for Qi’s ecommerce site + sales/marketing departments, redesigning Qi’s blog page, doing home movies featuring Qi product and uploading them on to the social networking page.
