SATYA JEWELRY needs a Wholesale Assistant INTERN ASAP for Fall Semester. Location: Manhattan

· We are a young jewelry company with 3 divisions: retail, wholesale & private label. We have 5 retail Satya stores in the Metro area & 1 in London, England. A wholesale division that sells to 250 stores domestic & international. We sell private label collections to Moma Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sundance, Anthropologie, & Anthropologie UK. The designers create the Satya collection to represent beauty & meaning with a modern aesthetic. Most of the pendants used in the collections have symbolic meaning, we only use silver, gold vermeil, & semi precious gemstones, we have a smaller collection of 18 & 24Kt styles. We consider ourselves a fun vibrant young company that has amazing people working within it.

Please be detail oriented, pro active, & have a positive attitude to assist in all areas of wholesale. Some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/InDesign required.

Responsibilities Include:

-Add stores to our mailing list/research for buyers names

-Make calls to find out buyers contact info

-Send submissions to department stores

-Schedule training appointments. at Dept stores

-Coordinate Trunk Shows, ship merchandise

-Email Blasts

-Update website with stores/wholesale info

-Tailor catalogs for buyers

-Customer service/Administrative Tasks

-Market Week preparation, sit in on meetings, Keeping show room kit organized

The Intern will have an opportunity to observe the function of and interaction between integral departments of Satya jewelry.

School credit issued as well as food/travel reimbursements & incentives offered.
