Do you want to learn how to build brands? The only way to learn this skill is to get in at the beginning with a hot brand and go through the experience of building something brick by brick (or stitch by stitch).

Rediscover The Kiss, All Natural Lip Care and Lip Wear, is the most exciting apparel and lip care brand in the country. Featuring all natural ingredients and premium materials, the RTK line includes designer graphic tees, underwear, athletic wear, lip balms, and lip tints. RTK is a brand inspired by the fun, the passion, and the romance of the Kiss.

RTK is seeking a social media savvy PR and marketing intern to help us build the brand and go viral. Internship duties include:

· Market research to identify the correct media platforms to reach our audience;
· Drafting press releases, blog posts, and interfacing with fans and followers on twitter and facebook;
· Working with the founders and creative team on marketing pieces, the marketing plan, and identifying key influence-makers in various markets to serve as ambassadors of the brand;
· Market research to identify the “right” indie retailers and spas who should be selling RTK and assisting in the campaign to recruit these retailers;
· Assisting with the planning, layout and design of the new Lookbook;
· Organizing, marketing, and providing logistical support for event; and
· Assisting with the development of line sheets and marketing materials.

This is not an experience for the timid, or for people who aren’t highly motivated and aggressive. Please don’t respond to this ad unless you are a SUPERSTAR and can prove it!

This position is for telecommuters, however, we want someone who are based in NYC and can make things happen on the ground. Approximately 15 hours per week. Preference given to students who can obtain academic credit.

Required Technical Skills:
Design or desktop publishing programs (Photoshop, Illustrator or Serif)
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Familiarity with Google Apps (we can teach you)
