Elizabeth Gillett, designer of versatile and feminine accessories sold at Neiman Marcus Cusp, Henri Bendel and Anthropologie, seeks an intern to assist the Sales & Marketing department. Start date is flexible with the opportunity to begin immediately. Candidates with the ability to commit at least two days per week are preferred.
Position is hands-on. You will be contacting retail buyers and helping sell and present the line in our showroom and at local stores. Candidate can expect to learn the true ins-and-outs of being a sales assistant.
Interns get a unique opportunity to work closely with the owner and employees of a small independent fashion business in NYC in the heart of the garment district.
Areas of responsibility:
-Prospect research – looking for leads online and in publications
-Updating customer history
-Contacting buyers by phone and email
-Entering Sales Orders
-Assisting with trade shows
-Presenting the line to buyers

Compensation: 10% on paid shipped orders
