Intern Needed For Fashion/ Social Networking Site for Tweens

Are you interested in fashion and up on pop culture? Is empowering and having an impact on the younger generation important to you? Do you have exceptional writing skills that can be breezy and fun a la Daily Candy?

Our shiny new fashion and lifestyle website is aimed at young teenage girls and based in downtown Chicago. We keep it trend-driven and fun while keeping our users safe and educated. We are currently seeking an intern who is either in college or has graduated with a degree or focus in writing and English OR simply has an exceptional propensity for writing. Although the job mostly consists of writing about fashion, pop culture and entertainment in short attention grabbing “bursts,” the fundamentals of writing needs to be there (know when to use “your” and you’re” as well as “their, they’re and there”).

Other pluses are knowledge of HTML, knowledge and interest in fashion trends and celebrity, knowledge of Photoshop (not a necessity but would be helpful.)

We are looking for someone who can devote three 6 hours days a week (schedule can be flexible on days and hours but must be the same every week.) We will provide school credit as well as a stipend for travel expenses.

This is not a breezy internship, our website is a start up and you will be gaining some real experience and doing some real work in the fashion marketplace, but for the right person, it will be fun.
