DNR Magazine & Menswear - Conde – New York, United StatesDNR Magazine and Menswear Magazine, Condé Nast’s leading men’s trade magazine, is looking for 3 interns to work with the fashion department for the Winter ( January – April ) Semester. We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, motivated, and loves clothes. You will be around clothes all day long so you must have a strong interest in it. Duties include checking in samples, returning samples, answering phones, emails, packing and assisting the fashion director at photo shoots, market research. You will be working closely with the Assistant Fashion Editor and the Fashion Director. We are a small staff so you will have the opportunity to work with all our editors and gain inside knowledge of how the industry works. The internship will start by the beginning of January. Internship is paid ($12 per day) and must be taken for college credit.

PATTERNMAKING INTERNSHIP
We are currently seeking interns to work one on one with a patternmaker in the Zac Posen Atelier.
Responsibilities include making basic pattern pieces such as facings and linings, writing cutters musts, preparing fabric for draping, preparing cutwork for the sewers, as well as other miscellaneous tasks in the studio.
Candidates should be hard working and dedicated. Must have advanced patternmaking and draping skills, as well as strong industrial machine and hand sewing skills.

You Must: Be a capable person, excited to learn the fashion business from the top to bottom.
You Will: Assist the patternmaker, do some light sewing, do some swatching, attend fittings, assist the production manager and help with general studio upkeep (which undoubtedly should read, “don’t complain if you go from assisting the top person to making the copies”), as well as liaise between the sales and PR departments.
