DailyFashionJobs.com is looking to publish pieces from freelance authors!  The articles should draw on your own experiences, and should be candid and, most importantly, informative.   We’re looking to publish articles that center around…

  • Fashion schools and colleges
  • Interning
  • Job Hunting
  • Fashion Careers
  • Freelancing
  • Fashion Blogging

An example of the type of articles we want:

  • How to Find An Internship Outside of New York/LA
  • A review of ____ Fashion Book
  • Reviews of programs at various fashion colleges
  • How you got your internship/job
  • What it’s like to intern for ____ company
  • Interning/working/studying abroad
  • Examples of what we DON’T want:

  • How to Land A Fashion Internship
  • What to Wear For A Job Interview
  • Top Trends for Spring
  • My Runway Show Review
  • All articles must be specific, niche and from an industry point of view. Nothing generic, please!  For an example of what we publish, please read Michelle McNickle’s article on Freelance Fashion Writing.

    What’s In It For You

Published clips/tears for your resume!  In addition to that, all freelance writers published on DFJ receive a 3-5 line byline, a link to their blog or website and a link to their social networking profile.

    How to Submit

Interested? Good! Please send the following to dailyfashionjob AT gmail DOT com:

  • The article(s) you’re pitching OR queries/pitches
  • One writing sample (only if submitting a query/pitch)
  • A resume (no cover letters please!)
  • We can’t accept everything, which is why it’s always good to pitch/query first. Feel free to use any of the good ideas listed above.
