About the Position:
We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working intern who brings passion, energy and a fresh perspective to our firm.
This person must possess excellent communication skills, be extremely organized, have a strong interest and knowledge in the fashion industry, and be detail oriented.
This is an unpaid, part time six month internship position with stipend for meals and travel.
The job entails (in order of priority):
• Administrative (scheduling meetings, answering phones, greeting guests, coordinating travel, etc.)
• Fashion Industry Review (research and review of all major publications Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue, W, Wall Street Journal, publications within the luxury fashion space on a regular basis)
• Brand Snapshots (creating decks and prepping discussion on relevant fashion brands and potential acquisition targets for the firm)
A strong interest in fashion is necessary since some of the job entails being updated on fashion space around Manhattan, understanding the politics of New York Fashion Week, and understanding the intricacies of the industry.

1. Catalog tons of clothes in the library of the Astor building at Broadway and Prince – so you can slave in style.
2. Get to know tons of publicists via e-mail when you hound them for fashion credits for all spreads.
3. Tag the issues for monthly mail-outs.
4. Assist on shoots.
5. Arrange look books in Annabel Tollman’s office.
6. And, if they like you, help with market work, try on samples and think of heds and deks.

Condé Nast Traveler Summer Fashion Interns
Condé Nast Traveler, an award-winning publication that publishes travel features and news with a global perspective and an emphasis on style, is currently seeking interns for our fashion department for the summer. Fashion interns assist the fashion department with receiving and returning samples, managing the fashion closet, managing the market book, phone calls and filing. Those who shine at the simpler tasks may have the opportunity to go out on the market to view new designers or product launches. This internship is for-credit and unpaid. Although, there will be a stipend of $12/day for lunch and transportation. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years undergraduate work, an interest in magazine publishing/editing, familiarity with fashion trends, experience with Mac OS X, good phone and research skills, and be available at least 3 days a week. Muse models needs a new intern based in New York City.
