SHELLY STEFFEE Head Office/Showroom/Flagship Store Intern – Meatpacking District

SHELLY STEFFEE is unique in that our space here on 34 Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District is the mecca of the brand. The storefront, showroom, offices, and studio are all located in this building, providing a window to the structure of the company and life of the collection. You will witness a collections’ growth, from concept to storefront and the necessary steps it takes to get there. Though you will be assisting the head office and storefront team, you may occasionally have the opportunity to assist the designer. You will gain exposure and an understanding for all aspects of a fashion company including production, wholesale, press, events, and retail.

During your internship you will have the opportunity to:
- Gain hands-on experience by serving our VIP clients and customers
- Participate in sales and customer service events, as well as industry events
- Work on creative visual merchandising
- Learn how to bring a brand to life
- Prepare the showroom for buying appointments
- Prepare sales tools for buying appointments
- Assist and dress our in-house fit model during buying appointments
- Loaning and checking-in press samples to stylists, publications and celebrities
- Keeping track of and maintaining press samples
- Assist with maintaining and updating our online initiatives
- Assist with photographing merchandise and creating marketing material
- Work on special projects or activities as directed
- Assist with general day-to-day operations

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Ability to multi-task
- Responsible with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- An eye for detail and a strong sense of fashion

This is an unpaid internship for immediate start. You must be available at least 3-4 full days a week.
