FASHION DESIGN INTERNS NEEDED
We have internships available for fashion design majors orpeople with intermediate to advanced sewing and draping skills to assist inpreparing our sample collection for presentation and photography.

We are a very small design house that produces two collectionsa year. We do everything in-house from sketching, draping, flat patterning,cutting, and sample production.

Our collection consists mostly of cocktail dresses andseparates, and evening wear. It is high-end, modern, and sexy. You can see what we do at www.paulcarroll.com

The ideal candidate will have intermediate to advancedsewing skills and will have a keen interest in fashion and pay great attentionto detail. The position can involve any and all aspects of working with thedesigner in a (small!) workroom to create the samples. Tasks would includesourcing and pricing of fabrics, notions and trims, organizing and catalogingworkroom supplies, cutting out patterns, simple garment construction, andsewing sequins or beads on finished samples.

The internship is unpaid, the hours are flexible, and it isa terrific opportunity to get real hands on experience doing everythinginvolved in putting together a small collection. Chosen candidates will be required to beresponsible, on time and reliable. Credit may be offered by your school.

Our workroom is located in BrooklynHeights, one stop from Manhattan, and is very convenient to many subway lines(4, 5, 2, 3, R, A, C).
