QVC’s eCommerce department has an exciting opportunity for a talented Buyer Merchandiser, Online Beauty to join the team at our Studio Park location.

The Buyer Merchandiser – Online Beauty, is responsible for developing, maintaining and maximizing the off-air Beauty assortment. The Buyer Merchandiser will analyze sales trends and be aware of inventory levels so as to action items properly. The successful candidate will identify, buy, develop, execute new products, concepts, shows, brands, and ideas that will be successful in the Online Beauty arena. Analyze sales trends and be aware of inventory levels so as to action items in a timely way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for developing, maintaining and maximizing the off-air Beauty assortment. Works closely with on-air Beauty buyers and Director of Merchandising, Beauty to ensure efforts are aligned with the overall strategy for the business.
2. Responsible for partnering with eCommerce team in order to maximize sales, productivity and new names. Develops strategies to pursue new approaches to driving off-air volume by leveraging online, mobile and other alternative channels of distribution. Leverages cross-functional team in order to maximize marketing, social media and continuity product opportunities.
3. Responsible for working with Beauty vendors to develop specific strategies for key beauty brands specifically related to driving off-air revenue. Responsible for vendor communication, education and preparation. Required to prepare and present effective oral and written presentations.
4. Handles broad-based complex information across departments with QVC-wide impact. Presents to diverse audiences.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience, preferably in a retail, internet retailer or merchandising environment.

Experience:
> Minimum one to three years experience successful skin care, color, hair care or fragrance buying merchant experience strongly preferred.
> Complete knowledge of the product categories and markets he/she currently supports.
> Minimum of 3 years buying experience in Beauty products preferred.
> Excellent negotiation, analytical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
> Has mastered the science and the art of buying and merchandising.
> Is a leader among peers, is able to provide peer coaching and participate in team projects to better the entire department.

Overview:
The Personal Shopper’s responsibility to the Bloomingdale’s Brand is a commitment to achieve financial results by delivering a customized shopping experience for his/her clients. This would be accomplished by responding to the client’s needs and requests, while accommodating the lifestyle needs and time pressures of each client. The Shopper’s need to offer their clients comprehensive shopping assistance throughout the entire store.

Key Accountabilities:
The Personal Shopper is expected to spend a substantial amount of their time on the selling floor focused on:

Driving Sales Volume:
· Maximize selling opportunities by personally working with clients to build sales and frequency of client shopping which will build customer loyalty.
· Continually increase the number of clients and build customer loyalty by working throughout the entire store and offering clients one-stop shopping.
· Tap the store’s full assortment of merchandise. (Expert on product knowledge)
· Focus on selling store’s upscale product across all families of business.
· Maximize Big Event selling to represent 30% of Seasonal Sales.
· Leverage Micro Marketing events to drive additional sales.

Cultivating Service Environment:
· Communicate on a regular basis with clients.
· Address any customer issues in an empowered manner.
· Exceed customer expectations in every transaction.
· Actively promote the concept of clienteling.
· Convert customers to clients by driving frequency of client’s visits.
· Deliver extraordinary customer service in a profitable manner by offering clients comprehensive shopping assistance throughout the store.
· Achieve 75% client affiliation with B Connected.

Skills Summary:
· BA/BS required
· 2 –3 years personal shopping experience
· Excellent communications skills
· Knowledge of current fashion trends
· Written and verbal skills to build relationships internally and with clients
