StyleCaster is the web’s first truly integrated fashion-lifestyle channel. We are a personal style discovery platform—the ideal hybrid of expert recommendations, top level editorial content, social networking.
We are looking for interns to assist in the company’s business development efforts, which include internal business management as well as external marketing and communications. Intern’s responsibilities will include market research for both endemic and non-endemic brands, presentation development, working closely with the entire StyleCaster team to develop brand opportunities and helping in various other business development tasks.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Must be highly organized, resilient, motivated and self directed
- Ability to verbalize concepts and effectively pitch new ideas, campaigns and company platform
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills
- Exhibit excellent writing, research, personal networking and presentation skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Highly proficient in Keynote & Excel. Web savvy

This is incredibly tacky. Unpaid internships limit the candidates to those who can afford to work for free. This means that it’s not a quality based process. You are actually hurting yourself by choosing interns with financial means over skills unless the point is never hiring the interns because you are looking for free labor. I just lost a lot of respect for Style Caster.
